What stands out for me is "patterned empathy" and it seems life experiences mostly separate us from AI. So then, once robots programmed with AI begin to have physical life experiences, will their patterned empathy become true human empathy? If so, AI serves as a positive for humans. If not, it could lead to sci-fi sinister programming and the end of human existence.
